5Very easy to get going – good picture
By jstfunin
[[VIDEOID:bee671b09c420cde0996f0e17ab29154]] I received the GW Security 1.3 Megapixel HD 960P in exchange for my honest opinion and here it is. This camera was mind-blowingly easy to setup. I’m not talking install or security or any customizations, just getting it up and running. It took me less than five minutes to have this installed and viewing the camera through my phone. I was shocked to say the least. I thought it would be some huge ordeal, but not at all.

The picture is really good and doesn’t seem to be choppy, at least over a fast internet connection. Now, viewing the camera over my 4G connection there was some lag, but still good.
The camera comes with a huge amount of cable, I’m guessing about 50 ft., my estimation of measurements is lacking, but it’s a lot. They also include a mini CD with a few different manuals and the install for the camera program. Here is the meat and potatoes of what’s on the CD:

Quick Guide of Seetong Access Cloud IP Camera
Seetong.apk
User Manual of Android Seetong
User Manual of ios Seetong
UC User Manual
IPCamera user manual doc
UC install in 32 and 64 bit versions

The only problem I see with the manuals is they assume you know where to go in the program. They tell you how to change the settings, just not where to go, so you have to hunt around for the correct area. Also, they don’t include any instructions for physically installing the camera. You do have to unscrew the base of the camera to get to the screws holes. Otherwise, that’s the only gotcha, and it’s fairly straight-forward from there.

I’ve included a video capture of the camera pointed towards my TV so you can see movement and quality. I for one didn’t want to be on camera 🙂

A whole lot of crimes are happening in the home. This has increased the requirement to have a security system in your own home. Parents and homeowners are certainly not always at home. Hence, important things and people are left at home unprotected and unsafe from people who are out to do them harm. Since parents are gone for a long time everyday, a surveillance DVR is the only thing that can deal with this as compared to VCRs that can simply manage small amounts of time.
