5All being said, it’s a good value, with good quality image, and very easy to install to your existing system.
By Keri and Dan
This is my first dome camera and I like the ease of adjustment it provides. Up until now, I have only owned bullet type security cameras. I have a ZModo DVR and this connected easily to the existing cable connections and was view-able immediately. The camera I had before was also a 3.6mm lens, but was a bullet style camera and I had to mount it too low. This dome style allowed me to surface mount it so it didn’t hand down so low. I just installed it today so I don’t have a night image of it, but I’ll try to remember to add a photo of it soon. All being said, it’s a good value, with good quality image, and very easy to install to your existing system. It even comes with an a/c adapter in case your system doesn’t have the paired wires.

Like many of my reviews, I was provided a significant discount in exchange for testing and providing my honest review. Thoughts contained in this review are based on my experience and personal opinion. I hope this helps guide you in your search for a dome-style security camera – Dan

So, this product was pretty cool. It caught my eye for the price and design. It arrive very quickly, and it simple packaging. There were no signs of damage or any product relabeling. It was very easy to mount, the only issue was the wiring. I didn’t like the idea of having to pay more for extension BNC cables then I did for the camera, but I did have a bunch of coaxial cable left over from a recent DirecTv install. I swear those guys just leave their junk all over the place. So I just did some cutting and splice and was able to run it to my TV without any problem. Once there I did some more cutting and splicing and made it into an RCA jack. It’s an analog signal so you can plug it into any TV, monitor, or recording device with an RCA setup without the need for any type of signal convertor or set top box. Unfortunately if you did want to run it to a computer the process is a little more involved. In some cases it would be as simple as buying a video processing card that has coaxial or RCA input, maybe an RF Modulator that converts the analog signal into a digital one, or some other means. You can also purchase TV tuners for PC’s, may honestly be the cheapest route and from there you can download some software to make use of the signal. Aside from the product works great in the day time. The image is surprisingly sharp and well lit with good coloring. There is no optical zoom, but the image is plenty sharp to make good use of a computer and some digital zoom action. The product casing and materials inside are a bit concerning though. To me they seem as though they might not do well with intense heat or direct sunlight. Currently I’m stationed in Arizona with 108-115 daily. So, I just mounted it where there seems to be a constant breeze, however hot and dry that breeze is, and shade the entire day. So far it is doing well in that regard, but it’s also “Fall” right now. So we’ll see how it does once the summer rolls around. But it is doing well, like I said in the 108-115 heat in the shade. So, let’s talk about its night time performance. It has built in Infrared Diodes that are incredibly bright when viewed through other IR sensitive cameras or optical devices. And the Camera’s CMOS sensor itself is very adept in the dark as well. it is sensitive at very low lumens and still maintains a good picture. But together the IR emitting diodes and the awesome camera kind of don’t work well. The IR lights are too bright and set too close to the camera itself causing an almost complete whiteout of the image and at the very least a very bright and grainy image. The problem was easily solved though. I measure the inner and outer circumference of the IR ring and made a light diffuser by cutting a bunch of straws up and gluing them together. The straws of the inner most layer were 1.25 inch longer and painted black to prevent glare. Each concentric ring working towards the out border was .25 inch shorter and left white to allow the light to more naturally diffuse and prevent unneeded heat buildup during the day. This not only kept the light from glaring against the camera lens it also kind of lowered the intensity of the light across the whole image providing a better image. The whole thing resembles almost a honey comb that you might find on a rifle scope. If you don’t want to put in this much effort, then definitely buy another brand. But you’ll be paying a lot more. At this price, a little effort is definitely worth it. All in all, this is a great product that I really enjoyed working on.

2Work but not totaly happy
By Generate
I can only rate this by past experience. From other products I have used like this. The box was light. Checked it out and it was made of plastic. . Ok sign of the times. Mounted unit, Hooked it up, When you mount the unit cover clicks on. The other types i had screwed on. Locked the camera in place. Moved the camera around and aimed it. Done. This snap on cover is good for aiming the camera around but does not lock down, I feel it could be hit and moved. Night time came and their was no night vision. Turns out it has to be DARK for it to come on. I had some light back ground light which wasn’t a problem with other cameras. The day picture was good, Night picture kinda yellow with no night vision on. The ad for the camera says. indoor use. other parts say in/outdoor use. They give you a nice book with it that covers many types of cameras. Can get confusing. Would I buy them again. For the price i would use them for things that my life didn’t depend on or a lighted area. Not all bad. But i worry about the plastic being cracked or hit off. Well that is my 2 cents

Features of this product

  • Indoor CCTV camera
  • CCD sensor, 1200TVL, high quality image quality
  • Comes with the bracket and the power adapter
  • Indoor /Outdoor use for Day and Night
  • Easy to install and assemble

A single big feature for a business or the home with a limited spending budget is you can increase your area of concern without investing in a lot of cameras. The dome camera can be intermingled with dummy cameras or false cameras. Most security camera suppliers have dummy cameras the look just like a real dome camera, even having a flashing diode to signify it really is in operation. Putting actual cameras in strategic areas and after that a few phony cameras will unquestionably deter robbery, and only the proprietor or manager will know which are real and which digital cameras are the fake cameras. It’s a confirmed fact thieves don’t like bright lights, noise and cameras.
