1I was definitely disappointed in the 350’s performance
By Marie T Jovino
I recently lost my Powershot Elph 330, and while I contemplated replacing it with the same model, I purchased the 350 as an anticipated upgrade. The image quality of the 350 was disappointing, and the 4+ DIGIC processor is older than the 330’s 5 DIGIC processor. Even with the jump from 12 megapixels to 20 megapixels, I was definitely disappointed in the 350’s performance. Also, if you hold it with one hand, your thumb naturally falls on the play/review button, which is easy to accidentally press when trying to take a picture with the 350. I put it back in the box, returned it and purchased another 330 for $50 less.

Camera felt flimsy/cheap – I felt like I was going to break the battery/SD card door off when I would open it. The camera is lightweight which I liked, but I think that contributed to the cheap feel. Battery lasted less than 1 day and images in lower light (shade or indoors with and without using flash) were grainy when compared to my 7 year old Canon SD790. The grainy photos is something I read another user also experienced. After 1 day, I started noticing stuck pixels on the screen that were not there before. Before returning the camera, 7 stuck pixels had cropped up on the screen… all in the first 36 hours of having the camera. Stuck pixels happen, but when you go from 0 to 7 in less than 36 hours – that’s not good.

3Good point & shoot. HORRIBLE Wi-Fi. So-So battery life.
By Kristen J.
Do not buy this camera under ANY circumstances. Not because it’s a bad camera – it’s a great camera. But because the wi-fi is horrible and the wi-fi app for windows and android was written by a sadist. (did not test iOS app) If you just want a camera then save 40$ and get something without Wi-Fi. If you want functional Wi-Fi, get a Sony.

I loved the camera. It wasn’t top-of-the-line, but it was a nice point and shoot with good image stabilization and ability to shoot in RAW format.
But the app? I’m what you would call ‘extremely computer savvy’, and it took me 4 hours to get their app to work on two devices. Had to reduce security settings on my router, had to register the camera’s serial number online to get the Canon windows program (which is not on the camera – it’s on the warranty card), had to open up windows control panel to manually register a new device, then the app would connect to it. But even after telling the camera ‘send to computer’ I still had to come in and sit down at the computer (or tablet) and select which photos I wanted to download. Making that one button connect feature completely pointless – if I have to sit down at the computer to transfer files I’ll just use a cord, thanks.

If you want Wi-Fi, get a Sony. MUCH better app. If you absolutely have to have a Canon, and it absolutely has to have Wi-Fi, don’t bother with the Canon app – just manually register it with the system as a camera.

Today, I’m not going to tell you that you can take better images with a point and shoot camera than you can with an DIGITAL CAMERA. But, I’m not going to notify you that you aren’t take good images with them either. If a point and shoot has an aperture priority, shutter priority, or a hands-on shooting mode, you may have some pretty good control over the particular image will look like. But, even if it doesn’t have custom shooting modes, you can still get favorable results. After all, there are groups of photographers that pride themselves on getting great images using only their mobile phone cameras.

That’s the whole thing you should know with this product. With such a comprehensive input, you will get plenty of guideline so there’s not really a single possibility to make wrong decision. Don’t forget that best valued one isn’t be the most cost effective one. Price won’t be a problem when it meets your preference. Off course, you’re the someone to decide in case your decision with this product is a no, we now have reviews for one more products through the same category. There’s possibility you will find what you need from one of them. Thanks a lot and also have a fantastic day!
