Great Camera’s Clear picture.
By R. Cooper
These cameras are clear and the range is excellent. I have only used them for about 2 weeks. I had them installed by a professional at a great price. If you are thinking about purchasing home security camera’s I am highly recommend these. I can view my home from my cell phone, my computer and my television. You can see who is at your door, in your yard and you will not have to guess who they are. The picture and color is clear. The warranty is also good.

Best CCTV system you can reasonably buy for your home.
By Dr. Tom’s Reviews
I recently upgraded my home system from an older Lorex day-night CCTV as I wanted true 1080p HD to capture faces, etc., in light of a recent spate of package thefts from the front doors of homes in my neighborhood.
I have included a pic I took during the installation process, just to give some example of the coverage of one of these cameras (I’ve since changed the angle, etc., as providing a pic of your ACTUAL setup is NEVER smart, whether here, or on Facebook, etc. – bad guys hop on Amazon, just like the good guys do). But, I thought it was worth it to try and help show what you can expect from this system. Now, this is a screenshot, and not the best quality – your view will almost certainly be better than this. But, it does, again, give you some idea. As you can see, I happened to catch the UPS guy delivering to a nearby home a couple doors down. I thought this pic might help, from a practical “what do these really look like?” perspective.
I would absolutely recommend this system to anyone concerned with home security and interested in investing in a CCTV system (as these can get a bit pricey). Also, I’d further recommend you have a professional install these. If you know what you are doing, you can do it yourself, but unless you are very tech savvy and experienced in the best angles, coverage, etc., this really isn’t something I’d recommend for the average consumer (as far as self-installation).
I have mine on a continuous (vs motion-activated setting) to ensure I catch everything that’s going on, 24/7. Now, this takes up considerably more space on your DVR, so depending on the size of DVR memory you purchase, this is an important consideration. I don’t trust motion-activated, in general, so that’s just my preference.
But, to be able to see and record everything in HD is invaluable, especially if you want to capture faces, etc.
In addition, you can download the free FLIR Cloud app for viewing your system on the road, which is utterly invaluable as well – and their tech support is among the best in the business. Patient, nice folks, very knowledgeable.

Does not work with IP camera’s higher than 2.1MP even Flirs own 3mp domes don’t display on the HDMI monitor.
By The Tech Guy
It’s an average product but a very important bug has been found with this system and my customers install. This system is made to run with camera’s that come with the NVR only, 2.1 Mega Pixel or less. If you decide to use any other Flir IP camera or Onvif camera more than 2.1 Mega pixel the camera’s will not show up on HDMI video out port to your display monitor for viewing the camera’s actual video feed. I opened a support call with FLIR and although they are professional they are completely incapable and not familiar with there own products. They had me waste almost 2 hours trying to resolve this issue, end result was that it is a firmware hardware bug. They don’t even have access to this equipment to test and replicate the exact issue that my customer was having, in my case. That is really unacceptable in the IP security business. If you can’t replicate an issue in a support LAB, firmware and hardware bugs will not be a priority getting resolved. And these were the exact words by the support engineer “well we don’t know if we will fix this issue at all”. I needed a 3mp IP camera for the front cashier area and I used a flir 3MP dome too. You can only see the video feed from the 3MP from the Web client only. Not on the NVR’s HDMI monitor port itself. You get what you pay for, The 2.1 MP domes that come with this NVR are okay but not great. They have issues with some objects showing out of focus at 10 to 15 feet away, it happened on all the camera’s.

A web-based surveillance security system enables you to monitor your home while away. Whether you go on a vacation, have reached the office, or away on business, you can have access via internet to look at what your surveillance video cameras are catching on online video. This type of secureness system is suitable for households who are often aside for extended periods, offices which have chronic theft or perhaps vandalism problems, and homeowners with members that require the aid of a caretaker if left by itself.
