A waste of money
I’ve had a vuezone system for three + years and the early camera’s were quite good. Just this past week I purchased 3 more camera’s from amazon to add to my system. You can no longer buy them from Vue Zone (NETGEAR) I guess. Anyway the camera’s look the same but the picture quality is terrible in comparison to my originals ones. These are the first I have bought since NETGEAR bought out VueZone. I feel like I need to put my glasses on. The picture is very fuzzy. You would have a hard time identifying a person if using it for security. I will not buy any more to add to my system, just not worth the new price they charge for an inferior product. Feb. 2014

Not the same camera
By Michael Lines
Even though I bought the base VueZone unit with the two motion detection cameras, this add-on is not the same camera. The quality of the picture is not as good as the base unit cameras and there is significant barrel distortion with these in comparison to the base units. You can tell the difference by looking at the lens – the base unit (and higher quality) lens has a chrome ring around it – the add on unit has a black ring. It appears that when they were bought out by Netgear, that lower quality parts were substituted.

This is in response to my previous review submitted earlier today. Not long (with in 20 minutes) of my submitting my review of the Netgear VueZone cameras, I received a phone call from the main office in California. I was very impressed. They responded to hwat I had submitted about my disappointment in their product. The lady that phoned, was very pleasant and concerned our cameras was not funtioning as it should. That in itself really pleases me. I like to see there are still some businesses left in the United States that care about customer satisfaction. That is so rare these days. And, it is clearly obvious to me that Netgear cares.
We haven’t resolved the problems with the cameras just yet, but I do feel it will be taken care of in a timely manner. So, just based on this phone call alone, I will purchase additional cameras (if needed) and recommend this product to many of my friends.
