Olympus E-5 is Olympus Digital Single Lens Reflect (DSLR) which has been announced and released in August 2010. This SLR camera is a successor of Olympus E-3. The E-5 camera combines the E-System’s legendary durability, reliability and professional image quality with HD video, multi-exposure and creative art features of the PEN series. The E-5 is rugged digital SLR camera that is the new flagship of the Four Thirds system.

Olympus E-5 is built around the weather-sealed body of the E-3 and offers a 12Mp Live MOS sensor, 3.0″ 920k LCD, Live View with Contrast AF, HD video recording and shutter speeds of up to 1/8000th sec. Though the E-5 finds itself on the lower end of pixel counts for cameras in its price range, it still easily managed to score an Extremely High in overall image quality from ISO 100 through ISO 1600 in the Popular Photography Test Lab.
