Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH2 is one of stylish and casual compact digital camera which has been released in January 2011. This camera launched together with DMC-FH5 at beginning of this year. The FH-5 has 14.1 MP and this is a bit different with 16.1 MP in FH-5. The Panasonic FH2, like all cameras in Panasonic’s LUMIX model line, features their suite of iA (Intelligent Auto) modes. New to this model year are Intelligent Exposure (prevents blocked shadows and blown highlights), and AF Tracking (for following moving subjects). Remaining features include Intelligent ISO Control, Face Detection, MEGA OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), and Intelligent Scene Selector.
The DMC-FH2 / FS16 features a 28mm wide-angle 4x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens (35mm camera equivalent: 28-112mm). The 28mm wide-angle lens lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures and scenes with dynamic width and rich perspective. The 4x optical zoom lens captures beautiful shots of people or landscapes with 14.1-megapixel resolution. The Extra Optical Zoom function uses the center part of the CCD to extend this 4x zoom ratio to powerful 8.4x zoom at a resolution of 3-megapixel or less.
