Sony Alpha NEX-C3 Interchangeable Digital Camera 16.2 MP 3-Inch LCD

Sony Alpha NEX-C3 is a digital camera with mirrorless interchangeable lens which has been released in June 2011. The NEX-C3 features an attractive new body design that combines a satisfyingly solid metal top casing with an easy-to-use streamlined grip shape. Reducing the size of its internal circuitry visibly shrinks the camera’s size and achieves a body weight of just 225g (approximately 8 ounces) – nearly six percent lighter than its predecessor, the NEX-3 camera. Building on the success of last year’s α NEX launch, the new NEX-C3 model takes the idea of ‘small camera body, SLR-quality photos’ to a whole new level.

As a successor of Sony Alpha NEX-3, the Sony Alpha NEX-C3 equipped with 16.2 megapixels EXMOR APS CMOS Sensor and has slimmer body than NEX-3. As with most new sensors, the new EXMOR is optimized to produce low noise for greater image quality in low light. It also supports the company’s image compositing technology. The new EXMOR sensor is supported by a BIONZ processor, about which not much is mentioned other than that it’s fast and is supposed to help maintain better detail and smooth gradations. It also adds a reported 20-percent boost in battery life, improved low light performance, and a slimmer, more attractive design. Packed with unique Sony features like Handheld Twilight and Sweep Panorama, the Sony NEX-C3 adds a few new features, like Picture Effects filters, and an Intelligent Auto with simple adjustments that replace terms like White Balance with simpler descriptions like Color, which has a scale ranging from Warm to Cool.
