Sony Alpha SLT-A65 is new Sony DSLR Camera with Translucent Mirror technology which has been released in August 2011. Translucent Mirror Technology make these new cameras the fastest, most responsive interchangeable lens cameras in their class, as well as set new performance benchmarks that even professional DSLRs have yet to accomplish. The Alpha SLT-A65 performed very well in both stills and video, while being ergonomically sound and decent value, a difficult combination to get right. Video-wise, the combination of 1080P and the AVCHD 2.0 codec results in some very nice looking footage. Full 50p frame rates keep things smooth and all the color balance from stills translates over very well.

Pre-focus shutter lag and shutter noise are also reduced thanks to the Sony A65′s electronic first curtain mode, which captures an images without first closing then opening the shutter curtain. The LCD is a 921,600-dot design that works great indoors or out; indeed, we preferred it outdoors over the EVF, which is unusual. Though the OLED EVF is very smooth and works well indoors, out in bright sunlight it’s too dim when you first look through it; and then when leave the viewfinder, your eye has to adjust again.
