Excellent camera for the price
By R. Guth
-Sharp resolution: very clear picture
-2 MP (1080p)
-excellent night vision: no matter how far you zoom there is enough night IR thanks to the laser IR that comes on past 10x zoom.
-works with Blue iris
-superb zoom: fast and sharp
-solid metal construction
-comes with mount
-continuous ptz (can rotate vertically endlessly)
-had to be reset once because PTZ controls stopped working in blue iris, not sure if firmware issue or blue iris issue.
-draws 12v4Amp (48watts) which is slightly over POE+ (802.11.at) spec.
-Must use Internet explorer and install custom .exe file to set up camera. very insecure, lazy method of programming.
-to use the internal website, have to use Internet explorer.
-no auto tracker mode on this model.
-no stabilizing gyroscope. Make sure to mount on a low wind load, stable surface. Otherwise high zoom levels are useless.

A bargain camera with great support and features
This camera represents a new class of much less expensive speed-dome cameras. Just a few years ago, I would never have purchased one of these because they were at least three times the price they are today. The usual concern when prices drop is whether quality has dropped to match. In my experience with this camera, I have to say that the quality is still there. We had one issue with this camera I’ll describe but it is working great for us now and the night vision is fantastic as is the day time video.
The second concern when prices drop is service. When we had a problem with our camera and contacted the seller through Amazon, they actually called my cell phone to see if they could help resolve it. Unfortunately, the call failed and I wasn’t able to talk to them but that’s amazingly good service. I didn’t install the camera for 4 months after I bought it and didn’t know I had an issue until them. I contacted the seller through Amazon and the service and response I got was quick and they were anxious to help.
So what about the camera? When I first installed it, all I could see was the ground, even though the housing was pointed straight out. While waiting for a response to my question to the seller about the issue (just time difference; they were very responsive) I opened the front housing cover (the front plate with the IR LEDs and the lens showing inside) by removing 4 screws. I found the camera module mounting bracket was bent slightly – it’s amazing how just a slight bend kept the camera pointed too far down. I removed the camera module from the bracket (four more screws) and straightened the bracket. I reassembled the whole thing, remounted the camera, and it was perfect. Small problem but very easily solved and no one else is complaining of the same thing on Amazon or Sunba’s aliexpress site so I’m sure it was a one-off fluke that mine was bent.
The camera is fantastic. It takes great video and the night vision as well as day-time video are both fantastic. The image is clear, focused, and bright. With the camera zoomed down our 150 foot driveway, it looks as though we’re just a few feet away. The night vision across the yard and into the woods is great. Our other cameras and even external IR illuminators designed for, supposedly, 200+ yards, aren’t nearly as bright or as clear as this one is.
One of the best things about this camera is the included software. The software takes any cameras it is familiar with (the list is pretty short unfortunately but it does include the Sunba cameras and Hikvision cameras and a few others) and it also allows you to configure any ONVIF camera if it doesn’t have configuration for your camera by model. The only downside is that the mobile app is only usable, as far as I can tell, for the camera types with which the software comes. I can’t seem to use it for any of my other cameras. I use my Synology mobile app for all the rest but for local monitoring or recording, the CMS software is great and easy to use.

Sunba 805-dg20x Zoom Speed Dome Outdoor 250m Laser Ir-cut 2.0mp 1080p Hd Network PTZ Speed Dome Ip Onvif Security Camera
By Terrence Schur
I purchased one of these cameras to replace an older analog PTZ that had a bad slip ring. My older camera was connected to a DRV so it was nice to get a network camera supporting ONVIF 2.0 that works with my Synology NAS. The manual provided was a 1 page joke, but at least stated the IP address and admin password. I use Apple computers, so I had a hard time getting the cameras web interface to work since it required an active X control to use. Ended up borrowing the neighbors windows laptop to make initial camera settings and than connected the camera to the NAS Surveillance Station using generic ONVIF protocol. The Surveillance Station software works well and allows setting up various camera parameters including Motion Detection. The “DS Cam” application for Apple IOS and Android works nicely with this camera however the feedback on PTZ control is very slow. The only Android program besides “DS Cam” that works with this camera is “Tiny Cam Pro”, and PTZ control is also very slow.
The camera has excellent video quality both day and night. The IR Laser feature does work nicely but only when you zoom in a certain amount (X10 I think). I have this camera installed in the back yard along with an IR Illuminator so the standard IR features of the camera can’t be tested. I was going to add a Micro SD card for memory as the ad alluded to local memory, but Sunba stated after purchase that this has to be added during manufacture and there is no SD card slot. The same goes for Audio support, so if you need these options, ask for them when ordering. They also state that they will replace the wall mount bracket with a ceiling bracket if requested which I wish I knew when I ordered. The camera has a nice aluminum housing and the PTZ control is quiet and smooth. I have the DC power adapter supplying POE using a passive POE Injector/Splitter Kit running over 50″ of Cat6 cable. This works nicely and located the power supply next to my POE switch which powers my other cameras.
I only had this camera up and running for a few days, but so far it’s been stable. I’ll try to update this evaluation in a few months to see how reliable it’s going to be. So far the manufacturer has answered my questions. I like this camera enough that I’m planning to order the Auto Tracking model to replace my front yard analog camera.

If you are building your security camera systems or setting up your home security digital cameras, review your camera options. The dome camera might not fulfill your entire camera needs in all cases, but my gamble is down you will want some dome digital cameras in your system. May forget the benefits of the artificial cameras to supplement your system. Remember there is no better evidence in court then a time stamped security video of the crime, and the best way to deal with criminals, is by deterring them, rather than dealing with them.
